explosions Geometry Experiments

The geometric shape experiments, were orginally created in AutoCAD, imported into illustrator, then manipulated in Photoshop. I have used AutoCAD for many years, for Architectual and engineering drawing for construction, yet it has only occured to me to use it in a design manor. More of a technical than a design program, its has advantages for being to the millimeter accuracy, angular shapes, arrays, symetry…the list goes on. With the handy feature of Illustrator CS5 (and probably some previous versions) being able to open .dwg files and render the data as vector is big benefit for anyone familiar with AutoCAD

These pieces are pretty much experimental, freeform, possibly some ideas from other work seen on the net just to see if it works. For me any technical geometric shapes required in the future will be speed up by composing them in AutoCAD and importing to Illustrator.
